Well Pump Repair and Replacement

Most no-water calls turn out to be the pump, the pressure switch, or the wiring rather than the well itself. We pull the pump, test the components, and replace what has actually failed.

Common symptoms

No water at all

Could be the pump, the control box, the pressure switch, a tripped breaker, or a wiring fault. Diagnosis comes before replacement.

Pump runs constantly

Often a leak in the drop pipe, a failing check valve, or a pump that can no longer keep up with demand.

Short cycling

The pump starting and stopping every few seconds is usually the pressure tank, not the pump. Replacing the pump without fixing the tank kills the new pump too.

Air spitting from taps

Can mean a dropping water level, a cracked drop pipe, or a pump set too shallow.
